It may in part be due to my own work habits perhaps. I do remain rather 'localized' to a particular area of the city most days.

Ah, but as to what you're asking for, it is indeed salt unfortunately! Though it took me some time to discover, and I shall admit to having pushed foolishly through the 'bite' of it anyway, as if it were some mere allergy.

Regardless, yes, salt.

Which is quite a tricky matter of course because salt is considered something of 'its own taste'. However, I find that additions such as garlic or onion, whilst still unique in their own way, have made most dishes quite delicious!
