As far as I remember...I was about as convinced I -was- Dracula as anyone could be. It wasn't until the memories started trickling back that I realized what had happened.

I'm so relieved to hear that. I know we haven't spoken much, but I couldn't help but feel terrible for what I'd done afterwards.

It isn't as if I am, either. I've learned a few things here and there, but...more for self defense purposes, really.

I do. As much as I've tried to live as normal of a life as I can, here. It's never so easy as that, is it?

I wouldn't exactly call it "normal", but...it isn't as wild of a concept as it might have been otherwise, I suppose.

It is still a great fear of mine.

It's not like the people here AREN'T afraid of monsters.

It makes sense it would be a universal fear. And it always feels unfair to me how little of a say we have in the matter. I can at least take comfort in the fact that I don't have to kill people directly to survive.

But not everyone gets that.

That's right. Though that's not usually how I go about it. I can get blood from humans who donate to blood banks specifically for monsters who need it without ever having to bite someone.

But it's only a temporary solution. I do have to feed directly at least once in a while...the instinct gets to me.

It can be. I've found it's easier now that I know to expect it. I can plan around it, mostly.
