<PURPLEPIPER> Am I doing this right?
<PURPLEPIPER> Pretty weird to just leave a message like this is an answering machine or something
<PURPLEPIPER> ME leaving a message I mean!
<PURPLEPIPER> You can leave one if you want and I'll just get back to you whenever I can.

...You have to remember some of it.

Skin is an organ.

[so shut the fuck up YOU HAD TO HAVE, PROBABLY!!!]

Mana told you to eat your intestines!

[Sounds fake, but okay... She remembers that he's an undead monster -- maybe lich? And so he would eat through decay magic...? Whatever. She does not care enough to figure out if she has to die on this hill or not.]

Oh. Well, that part isn't really important.
How long did it take for them to come back?

Sir, you are a disappointment.

Then...what state are your organs in, in general?

I was thinking about if it's possible to transplant monster organs into a human safely, if it were done during fog days when everyone is recovering faster... I don't think the only other monster I know that had an organ removed will remember things from then. I hoped you would.

Being undead would have to be taken into account for the survivability of both donor and recipient, plus size and function... Pig and cow hearts are common in transplants, but minotaurs probably still need their hearts. And then if a monster dies, would a transplanted organ stay in the new body, or disappear and regenerate? There's so many factors.

...But I guess I should focus on support for human to human organ transplants first.

It would be pretty cool if it did work though, right?
And you really could sell your own organs on the black market.

I don't think anything to do with organs is very fun, usually.

Just because something isn't fun doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. You thought Mana's quest was worth it even though it wasn't fun.

I don't care about the specifics, but it's the same basic principle, isn't it? "Fun" isn't necessary.

[What if you really need the money...]

If it worked, you could supply any number of dying people with life-saving organs.

[Oh, good. She would have started to doubt it if he didn't give in at that.]

It's too bad that there are so many things that could get in the way of it working out...

[Mostly because she thinks it would be Neat, not because of all the good it could do.]

Oh. Just so you know, I wasn't thinking I'd only take your organs. I just figured you had the best chance of being able to give me the answer I needed.

[JUST IN CASE HE WAS WORRIED.]

That said... Monster type is definitely a factor. You also need donors, recipients, and surgeons that are okay with the experiment, and money. It's a problem of getting permission way before worrying about the physical and mental effects a transplant might have on both monster and human.
